Heat source decides both your operating cost and what permits you need. We match it to what is actually available on site, not to a one-size-fits-all default.
The four practical options
Coal — lowest unit heat cost where coal is abundant and permitted, but the highest emissions.
Natural gas — clean and convenient where pipeline gas exists.
Biomass pellets — made from corn cobs, rice husk or straw. If you already grow the feedstock, your fuel cost drops dramatically and the drying is close to carbon-neutral.
Electric — zero on-site emissions, suited to regions with abundant, cheap power and strict environmental rules; best for low-temperature seed drying rather than bulk tonnage.
Why biomass fits farms
A maize or rice farm already produces the residue that becomes pellet fuel. Instead of paying for diesel or gas, you close the loop: harvest → dry with your own waste → sell graded grain. For small and medium farms this is often the single biggest operating-cost lever.

We recommend by local fuel availability and compliance first, then by unit cost. If you have stable biomass supply, we size the burner and combustion chamber for pellet feed and tune the heat curve to your crop's temperature tolerance.
