Price transparency is a buying decision, not a sales tactic. Below is how a typical AmGrainTech quotation is organised, so the number you receive is unambiguous about what it does and does not include.
Quotation basis: EXW by default
Unless you request otherwise, we quote on an EXW (Ex Works / factory price) basis - the value of the equipment at our factory. If you need delivered terms, we can quote FOB (Free On Board at the port of shipment) or CIF (cost, insurance, and freight to your destination port) explicitly in the contract. We do not silently bundle freight into an EXW line.
What is included in the equipment price
- The equipment itself, built to the confirmed specification and capacity.
- Standard documentation: operation manual, foundation/drawing package, and quality certificates.
- Sea-worthy rust-proof packing and container loading preparation.
- The recommended starter set of wear parts where applicable.
What is typically quoted separately
These are real costs but belong to your side of the project, so we list them clearly rather than hide them:
- International sea freight and marine insurance (unless CIF/FOB requested).
- Destination port customs, duties, and inland transport.
- On-site installation labour - for export we supply installation guidance and training; full on-site crews are scoped per project.
- Civil works, foundation, and embedded parts at your site.
Silo export surcharge by capacity tier
For export steel-silo orders, a fixed export-handling surcharge applies, scaled by capacity tier (a lower tier under 500 t, a higher tier above 500 t). It excludes tax, crane, crew lodging, and civil works - those are your local responsibilities and are never silently added to the equipment line.
Tax, payment, and validity
Our export quotation is a net price; we do not add VAT on top for overseas customers. Payment is commonly T/T with a 30% deposit and 70% before shipment, with staged terms available for larger projects. Prices are quoted in USD with the exchange rate confirmed at the time of quotation, and each quotation carries a validity window because material and rate markets move.
