Dry grain going in is necessary but not sufficient. If the silo interior develops cold spots, moisture condenses there, and mold follows. The fix is thermal control, not just sealing.
Temperature monitoring + aeration
Steel silos come standard with multi-point temperature cables for real-time monitoring plus automatic temperature-controlled aeration. The system holds the in-silo temperature difference within ±3°C, preventing the local cold spots where condensation and hot spots form.
The physical + chemical barrier
A bottom moisture barrier, roof waterproof seal, insect screens and rodent guards form a dual protection system — keeping outside moisture and pests out of the stored bulk.
Ventilation across climates
Ventilation and temperature control are configured to the local climate. In hot, humid regions we tune aeration cycles to night-time dry-air windows; in cold regions we prevent wall condensation with controlled airflow. The goal is the same everywhere: no cold spot, no condensation, no mold.
