How Do I Prevent Condensation and Mold in Steel Silos?

A storage operator asked why mold appeared even though the grain went in dry. The cause was temperature, not moisture at intake.

Short answer: Condensation forms when warm, moist air meets a cold silo wall. We stop it with multi-point temperature cables and automatic temperature-controlled aeration that holds in-silo temperature difference within ±3°C, plus a physical and chemical protection system.

Dry grain going in is necessary but not sufficient. If the silo interior develops cold spots, moisture condenses there, and mold follows. The fix is thermal control, not just sealing.

Temperature monitoring + aeration
