Project Description
Client Background: The client is a mid-sized grain collection and storage enterprise in an Eastern European country, primarily procuring wheat, barley, and rapeseed from surrounding farms. Local winter temperatures can drop to -15°C, where conventional drying methods suffer a sharp drop in efficiency.
Challenge: The client needed a low-temperature drying system capable of stable operation under extreme cold, with very tight requirements on post-drying moisture uniformity (within ±0.5%) to meet the strict standards of local grain traders. Fuel cost was also a core concern.
Solution: AmGrainTech supplied a customized low-temperature drying solution featuring an enhanced thermal-insulation drying tower, a high-efficiency heat recovery system, and intelligent staged temperature control. The inlet air preheating system and moisture-exhaust duct anti-freeze design were optimized for -15°C ambient. The PLC control system runs multi-stage variable-temperature drying curves, ensuring optimal drying results for different grain types.
Result: The equipment ran stably through extreme winter weather, achieving ±0.5% moisture control accuracy and exceeding client expectations. Fuel consumption dropped by about 18% versus the previous equipment, delivering significant annual operating-cost savings. This project became a benchmark reference for AmGrainTech in cold-climate regions of Europe.
