30,000T National-Level Grain Reserve Project

Project Description

Client Background: The client is a national-level grain reserve directly subordinate depot in East China, located in the port city of Ningbo, Zhejiang. It undertakes regional strategic grain reserve and rotation tasks, with very high requirements for the scale, safety, and automation level of storage facilities.

Challenge: The original storage facilities were aging and insufficient in capacity, unable to meet growing reserve demands. The new facilities needed to meet national grain reserve depot standards, with large capacity, high mechanization, and intelligent temperature-control management, while adapting to the high salt-spray corrosive environment of coastal areas.

Solution: AmGrainTech provided a silo-group solution consisting of multiple large-diameter bolted steel flat-bottom silos, with a total storage capacity of 30,000T. Supporting 500 TPH high-speed loading/unloading system (bucket elevators + belt conveyors), intelligent ventilation and temperature-control system, and multi-function cleaning and screening equipment. All steel silos use marine-grade anti-corrosion coating, adapting to the coastal high salt-spray environment.

Result: The project passed acceptance in 2022 and was put into operation, becoming a benchmark project for modernized national grain reserves in East China. The large-diameter flat-bottom silo design greatly improved space utilization and mechanized operation efficiency, and the 500 TPH loading/unloading capacity shortened single rotation operation time by over 40%. The intelligent temperature-control system enables remote monitoring and automatic alerts, reducing manual inspection costs.
