200 TPD Rice Processing Line Project

Project Description

Client Background: The client is a large rice-processing enterprise in Punjab, northern India, located in a major rice-producing region of the country. The area produces hundreds of thousands of tons of premium Basmati rice and ordinary white rice annually, but processing equipment is generally outdated, with low yield and high broken-rice rates.

Challenge: The client wanted to upgrade to a modern fully automated processing line with a target capacity of 200 TPD, and the finished product needed to meet export-grade standards (broken-rice rate ≤ 15%, impurity content ≤ 0.1%). The Indian market is price-sensitive, requiring investment costs to be controlled while ensuring quality.

Solution: AmGrainTech provided a complete rice-processing chain: raw grain cleaning (destoning + impurity removal) → husking → paddy separation → multi-pass whitening → polishing → grading → color sorting (removing discolored and glass-like particles) → automatic weighing and packaging. The whitening parameters were optimized for the long-grain paddy varieties commonly used in India. The entire equipment set uses modular design for easy transportation and on-site assembly.

Result: Delivery and commissioning were completed in 2019. The processed rice met export-grade standards, with the broken-rice rate controlled within 12% (industry average ~20%) and a significant improvement in head rice yield. The successful operation of this line helped the client enter the high-end rice export market and became a representative case of Chinese grain machinery in South Asia.
